About our Art

Our art pieces are designed by hand in house, they are artistic representations your requested design. Each art piece is laser engraved on a unique old growth cedar board, colors and grain vary piece to piece. Each map is sanded and finished in an orange oil and beeswax finish for maximum color and aroma. Our cedar is kiln dried but wood is a natural product and can shrink or expand over time, change its color even. Care for your maps is easy, dust occasionally and if they ever lose their shine contact us and we can suggest an easy wipe on product to bring them back to life.

The art pieces are laser engraved on a 19 mm (3/4") or 40 mm (1 3/4") thick panel of local cedar available with or without a frame made from 19mm (3/4") thick cedar. A hanger slot is routed into the back for easy hanging.

Frame adds 19 mm (3/4") in all dimensions. 

Custom Art Process 

Below are the details on the process and what you can expect when purchasing a custom art piece.

Process

1. Purchase Custom Art Piece.
2. We will design your art piece, typically this takes about a week.
3. Once your design is ready we will provide you a proof for approval. 
4. Once the design is complete and you approve it we will build and ship your custom art.

Conditions

• This is a custom item designed and made just for you as a result this is a final sale item, there are no refunds available. 
• Please ensure that the details provided above are as complete as possible prior to order submission to allow for us to proceed with you order as soon as possible.
• Please monitor the email you provide with your order for emails from beaufortrange.ca with clarifications, proof, or other order details.
• Changes after order submission may result in additional time and cost.
• More than one revision after the proof has been provided will incur additional charges based on the time required, major changes at proof approval will also incur extra charges. Payment is due prior to the additional revisions starting.
• 1 week is provided for your approval of the proof prior to us starting on your piece, time beyond this will delay delivery.
• Final pieces are available in the same sizes and styles as our current selection.
• Landscape or portrait orientation will be determined by the design, if you would like your art in a specific orientation please include with your deposit we'll do our best to accommodate.
• Beaufort Range Designs Inc. retains full rights to the completed design.
